Electropolishing (electropolishing) is a process in which ions are removed from the surface of the metal by electrolysis using an appropriate solution and electric current.
The aim here is to minimize micro-roughness, to make it difficult for dirt and product wastes to adhere to the surface of the part, and to improve the cleanability of the surface.
Polishing with electropolishing is done, as well as deburring, welding and spot cleaning and passivation.
With this process, the surface of the part does not deteriorate and at the same time, a metallurgically clean surface is formed.
Stainless steels provide one hundred percent corrosion resistance as predicted. For this reason, electropolishing has become an indispensable process in industries where corrosion resistance and cleanability requirements are particularly high.
